Day One – Bilateral Bunion Surgery…

So the morning started rather apprehensively. I jumped out of bed with a start at 04h30 realising it was D-Day and there was no getting out of it. I had a quick shower and shave realising this was going to be my last shower for who knows how long. I was scheduled to go in at eight and as I was wheeled into theatre, all sorts of terrifying thoughts were flashing in my mind. All I wanted to do was jump out of the bed and run for the hills like Zola Budd.

Crunch Time …

So my op is scheduled to take place on 05/11/14 and I must admit I’m starting to feel totally APPREHENSIVE. My Doctor forewarned me that should I come down with a cold or flu, the op would have to be postponed – and guess what – I felt the scratching of a sore throat and my nose felt somewhat blocked this morning!!! A Musical Date Night…

So last night was Date Night – Instead of going out for a romantic dinner, we decided to spoil ourselves by attending the Divo’s 2014 music concert at the Grand West Arena in Cape Town. If I could bottle up the sheer delight one feels coming out of an evening like this, I would do so. They are memories I treasure and nostalgically recall time and time again chatting to loved ones. I look forward to many more concerts in the future, but right now I carry this wonderful memory around with delight in my heart and the broadest smile on my face:).
