I've lived in Cape Town for over 26 years and this was the 1st time I've hiked up Lion's Head. Not because I didn't want to but because of my fear of heights. My running friends introduced me to small hikes in preparation for my bucketlist goal being Lion's Head. When the day arrived to finally to do it, I was amped. We decided to do the sunset hike on a Tuesday, early evening. It was a perfect day in Cape Town. Not a wind in sight. The sea glistened like diamonds in the distance. It was so hard to hike for each time I stood in awe of the beauty before me. I'd never seen Cape Town before from this vantage point, never seen Table Mountain so close, the 12 apostles with all it crevices and nooks. I'm not gonna lie the chains and staples were a bit daunting, but once past that it was sweet bliss all the way up with rewards of spectacular views and splendid pics. Gosh guys you haven't experienced God's beauty unless you've hiked Lion's Head ❤️
